How do you use Eurovision’s global stage to not only promote Rotterdam but also engage an international audience—especially in a time of physical restrictions? Our goal was to create a campaign that went beyond traditional marketing, one that people could actively participate in and make their own.

We launched a bold and high-energy dance challenge, paired with an original Rotterdam anthem. By integrating smart social strategies and a strong visual identity, we made sure the campaign stood out internationally. The result? A viral movement that put Rotterdam on the map as a city that moves literally and figuratively.

For Eurovision’s arrival in Rotterdam, we launched an international city marketing campaign that captured the city’s energy, rawness, and creative spirit. With our own anthem, a global dance challenge, and a diverse cast of Rotterdam’s finest creatives, we got people moving—transcending borders and lockdown restrictions. The best antidote to lockdown lameness? Dancing!

Our strategic mix of online, social, and out-of-home media ensured maximum international visibility in Belgium, France, the UK, and Germany. Through A/B testing and retargeting, we reached millions, inviting them to join the movement. The result? Over 40 million views, more than 100 deliverables, and a Rotterdam anthem that resonated far beyond the city limits.
With musical masterminds David Vunk and De Likt, we created the ultimate Rotterdam #SWINGALONG track, now available on Spotify—including a club version to keep the party going. From Rotterdam to London, from Paris to Antwerp, people joined our online rave. We rewarded our dancers with a massive projection on a Rotterdam skyscraper, turning the city into a dance floor.
